Super heroes and fictional
characters are quite a range with most of the teenagers. One such American
fictional character is Captain America.
Captain America is a superhero who appears in the famous comic book
which is published by the Marvel comics.
This well known character first made its appearance in the Captain
America Comics #1 which was dated March 1941. The character was designed by Joe
Simon and Jack Kirby. The comic had a huge liking among the teenagers and by
the year 2007, there were 210 million copies of the comic book sold in 75
countries.
Marvel’s Captain America is the
alter character of Steve Rogers, who is a frail and a young man. He is shown
portraying the character where he enhances the peak of human perfection with
the use of an experimental serum. The
costume of Marvel’s Captain America bears the American Flag and is seen armed
with an indestructible shield which is used as a weapon and can also be used
for his defense. Captain America was always depicted as a patriotic version and
is shown fighting with the powers of the World War II and hence this character
was the most famous during the period of 1940s wartime. The popularity of this
character faded after the war period and hence it was discontinued in the
1950s. It was at a later stage that this was re introduced by Marvel comics at
the time of Silver Age comics. He was at this stage introduced as an MIA
solider who is retrieved from an ice berg and is awakened from a suspended
animation by the team of Avengers.
Captain America is known to be
the first Marvel character which is also adapted into another medium with the
release of the movie serial Captain America in the year 1944. After this, the
character was also seen in various movies as well as television series like the
Chris Evans' portrayal in Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, and
Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Captain America was also ranked in the
sixth place on the IGNs Top 100 heroes of Comic Books.
Marvel’s Captain America, the
superhero has no super natural powers, but he transforms himself using the
super solider serum and the vita ray treatment and increases his agility,
strength, speed and reflexes. There are
also multiple shields which are used by the super hero in the comic and the
most used is the nigh-indestructible disc-shaped shield which is made with
alloy of steel and a fictional vibranium.
