Dallas Cowboys – The wealthiest Team in the National Football League

The Dallas Cowboys plays in the Eastern division of the National Football Conference of the National Football League. These are a professional American football franchise. The headquarters are in Valley Ranch, Irving. Its home games are played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. They are a popular and the wealthiest team in the National Football League or the NFL Football draft. Their popularity can be estimated from the large number of sell-outs enjoyed by it. Their annual revenue is close to 269 million dollars. They have made eight Super Bowl appearances. They have recorded twenty consecutive winning seasons. Cowboys are the highest valued sports franchise in the history of United States. They are next to the Manchester United of the English Premier League if world rankings are considered.

The year 2011 was not a successful year for the Dallas Cowboys and it has left the fans disappointed. The Cowboys were not successful not because they lacked talent but because their game technique was not good enough. They were poor at center, cornerback and were not good at passing the ball. The Cowboys are trying to get in some good players in the team. They have signed Brandon Carr for a hefty contract. The Dallas cowboys have not won since the 90s. Some smart decisions during the off season can make them a winning team. There are several changes that need to be inculcated in order to make this a winning team. It is not a simple task as there are several drawbacks that need to be overcome.

Some of the latest news informs that the team is drafting Courtney Upshaw, Mark Barron, and Dre Kirkpatrick. They were good players and could easily fit into the cowboys’ defense. The inculcation of Carl Nicks would solidify the interior offensive line and provide Romo the protection he needs against the elite pass rushers. This would also mean putting a stop to Drew Brees’s success. They have eliminated Buehler and Newman thus saving eight million dollars. Several other contracts have been redefined thus saving 10 to 12 million. Brandon Carr and Kyle Orton are joining the team.

This would provide a better chance of winning than before. If these players are included then they can focus on the best player rather than being tied with the one in hand. The Dallas cowboys must make an effort to take up as many Alabama defenders as possible.  This includes Dre Kirkpatrick and Courtney Upshaw. One of these is likely to be picked in the first round but the second round pick should include another offensive lineman or cornerback. Spencer would in all likelihood be dropped because of his poor performance and they would take a fresher in his place. The cowboys have no plans to offer him a long term contract. Smith would need to take left tackle spot while free has to go back on the right side. Free is quite talented and will be an above average tackle. The Dallas cowboys have a set back as they have lost their valuable receiver Robinson and would do well if Devier Posey or jarius Wright is chosen.
